ABOUT CROWDWAVE
Crowdwave is a simulated audience research firm. We help marketing, communications, and strategy teams decide whether to commit, revise, or drop a decision before it reaches the market.
Why we started Crowdwave
Crowdwave is a spinoff of Avenue Group, a primary research firm Jeremy Greenberg founded to study niche and hard-to-reach audiences. Over years of fieldwork, the same problem kept coming up. Most launches that missed had research behind them, but the research answered the wrong question or arrived after the decision was already made.
We built Crowdwave to give teams a clear, defensible answer while the decision is still open.

How we work
A chatbot gives you the most likely answer rather than the range of views a real audience holds. Synthetic research software never talks to a person and rarely shows how accurate it is. We combine three things so the result holds up.
We simulate the audience
Each audience is built for the project from public research, live signals like reviews and forums, and your own first-party data. That lets us test many options across many segments in days instead of months.
We talk to real people
Our researchers run in-depth interviews with people from your audience. The interviews explain why a segment reacted the way it did, and they confirm the findings that matter most before you act on them.
We check the math
Every segment is scored on data quality before a run, and the spread of responses is checked against human data. Segments without enough real data are cut rather than guessed.
How we know it works
We replicated The Conference Board's 2026 C-Suite Outlook without seeing the results, comparing 500 simulated CEOs against 770 human CEOs. Our rankings matched theirs with a 0.78 rank correlation and no tuning. You can read the full validation.
Clients include TAMKO, CyberArk, Envision, InStride, The Wharton School, and Living Desert Zoo and Gardens. Their projects are in our case studies.
0.78
Rank correlation between Crowdwave's simulated CEOs and The Conference Board's human CEOs, with no tuning.

Questions we get asked
Does Crowdwave talk to real people?
Yes. Simulated audiences give you breadth and speed, and in-depth interviews with real people give you the reasons behind the numbers. Every scope states which questions each method will answer.
Why not just ask ChatGPT?
A chatbot gives you the most likely answer, not the range of answers a real audience would give. Crowdwave builds each audience from real data, checks the distributions against human data, and has a researcher review every run.
Is Crowdwave a synthetic research company?
Crowdwave is often grouped with synthetic research, but it works differently. Synthetic panels reuse the same audiences for every topic. We build custom data on the audience and the topic for each project, and if the data is not there, we turn the work down.
When should we use human research instead?
Use human research when you need quotable voice-of-customer, regulatory-grade evidence, or a study on an audience with little existing data. We often simulate first to narrow the options, then interview people about the ones still in play.
How long does a project take?
Most projects deliver in 1 to 3 weeks. A single decision can be turned around in 3 to 5 days.
How much does Crowdwave cost?
Engagements start at $20K. The final price depends on the number of options, audiences, interviews, and waves, and every scope comes with a fixed fee.
Where is Crowdwave based?
Crowdwave is based in New York, NY, and works with clients across the United States.
